Standard Edition

What the Loader/Viewer Software does for you...
The 5 Minute Photo Loader/Viewer software is a Windows XP based set of software tools designed to simplify and automate image file management and customer viewing of photos necessary to do onsite event photography successfully. The software is designed to run on a LAN (Local Area Network) using laptop or desktop computers.
About the Loader software
The Loader module is a real time saver when doing onsite event photography and printing. It is designed to handle the copying, archiving, rotating, resizing and managing of images from your camera/memory card onto your computer (file server) and then automatically erase the memory card for reuse.
It will take the original images off of the compact flash (CF) memory card or any network folder and begin by making an archive copy that can later be copied to CD’s, DVD’s or other backup media after the event. The Loader then copies and auto-rotates the images and places them in a Printing directory without the names of the game/event so that it is quick and easy to search for or open the image by # (image # shown with the image on the viewing station/recorded by customer on order forms). This makes it quick and easy to open and print an image without having to search through multiple game directories. This speeds up the onsite printing process. The Loader software then creates optimized images and places them in a Viewing directory to be used by the Viewer software running on viewing stations. The Loader also has a utility that will create user defined sized web thumbnail and preview images and insert a custom watermark in the web images to be uploaded to your website.
All of these processes are automatically handled by the Loader with just the click of ONE button.

About the Viewer software
The Viewer module runs on one or more viewing stations to allow customers to quickly and easily view the pictures you have taken for the event so they can select the photos they want to purchase. The Viewer software is critical to doing onsite event photography and printing.
The viewer is virtually user fool-proof. It's designed so that the savvy computer users (usually kids) don't accidentally (or intentionally) reorganize your files, reconfigure your viewing station or do other destructive things that can happen when a user is allowed free access to your computer viewing station. They can't even exit the Viewer program without knowing the exit password.
Before developing the Viewer module years ago, we tried a lot of different digital image viewing software programs that were on the market, but all of them allowed the user to be able to exit the program and be able to mess with the computer system files, computer configuration, change the desktop, reboot the computer and etc. Each time this happened, we had to go and reload the software and sometimes even had to reconfigure the computer back to its original configuration. This can be a BIG time waster if you are in the middle of selling pictures to customers and a real inconvenience to the customer. Therefore, we set out to design a viewing program that would allow the customer to only do that – VIEW IMAGES. The 5 Minute Photo Viewer software startup screen shows a list of games/competitions for the event based upon the images that have been loaded through the 5 Minute Photo Loader software on the file server. The only option** a user has at this point is to select/highlight the name of a game and view the thumbnail images from that game. Once on the screen with a list of thumbnail images their only option is to click on a thumbnail and view an enlarged full screen image or return back to the list of games/competitions. When the user is viewing an enlarged image, the only option they have is to click anywhere and return to the list of thumbnails for that game/competition. Very simple, very quick, very easy – NOTHING to mess up.
All of the functionality of the Viewer program only requires a mouse or touch screen to operate. A keyboard is NEVER needed for the Viewer program – not even to enter the exit code. This way the keyboards can be hidden out of site from the customer and reduce the risk of someone messing with the computer or rebooting the system.
** There is a small dimmed “exit” button in the bottom right hand of the startup screen. If a user clicks on it they are prompted to enter an exit code to be able to actually exit the program. Once they select an invalid number in the exit code they are automatically taken back to the startup screen. The exit button is there so that the table tech can exit the program when required, but the user can’t exit without knowing the exit password.

The Loader/Viewer are packaged and sold together as a unit. With each unit you get a license to use the Loader on a single server and a license to use the Viewer on an unlimited number of viewing stations (computers) connected to the single server. The number of viewing stations is only limited by the operating system running on the server (ie. XP Home=5 Connections, XP Pro=10 Connections. More than 10 connections require a Windows Server product and applicable client licenses.
